Otchere, Icons of Wu-Tang
Eddie Otchere is a master lensman and documentarian of music culture. He asked Soul Labels to co-produce the launch of his Icons of Wu exhibition, a never-before-seen series of Nineties' portraits of Staten Island's finest before they became megastars.
Taking over Brixton East for half a day, we organised a sampling and production workshop with Tony Nwachukwu and Emmavie, hosted a panel discussion about the Wu’s impact on hip-hop culture (featuring Dobie and musician TY), designed print marketing material and organised media coverage with the likes of Radar Radio, Jocks & Nerds and FACT. We also produced a limited edition run of Otchere X Soul Labels T-shirts.
